The recommended travel dates range from January to April as it is the dry season and the waves are much more calm by then.
Next thing you should plan is whether you will avail a package tour, or if you will create your own itinerary. The only downside is that you will have to follow the schedule.
While, if you will do things on your own you can even see the other tourist spots in Sabang. The place is pretty accessible, but it is a bit far from the airport by 2 to 3 hours if you will take the jeepney or the van.
If you choose to go on a DIY trip, everything is your responsibility. You will need to secure your own permit at the City Coliseum, present a valid ID and pay the necessary charges before you can you’re your permit. Also, you will need to pay three more set of fees such as boat fees, environmental fees, and another one for the audio device or guide.
After you have seen the Underground River, there are also other activities waiting for you in Sabang. You can take the paddleboat mangrove forest tour, be in awe of the Elephant Karst Mountain Cave and Ugong Rock Caves, orhave your own mini photo shoot on Sabang Beach. For those who love hiking, there is a Jungle Trail for you to enjoy as well.
